We are pleased to announce the completion of our renovations on property as well as an addition of a new function room, The Wine Room. The Wine Room offers space for up to 14 guests and is great for private dining functions and boardroom style meetings. Beautifully decorated with mahogany wood paneled walls, stone floors, leather chairs, and a custom made long wooden table made from recovered wood from Tuscan churches in Italy. Features include:

  • Climate controlled wine storage
  • Wireless and wired internet access
  • Gas fireplace with stone mantle

Mission Statement: At the Saybrook Point Inn we are committed to incorporating positive environmental choices whenever possible in all of our business decisions while providing an outstanding guest experience.

We are making great strides towards incorporating this philosophy into all aspects of our business. ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.

Our environmental initiatives have had a positive impact on our energy consumption, and have contributed to a rejuvenation of Long Island Sound. For the first time in decades, dolphins have been spotted in the Sound, an indication that the waters are becoming cleaner and indigenous food sources more plentiful. We thank all those who have participated in the Sound's restoration, including our conscientious guests, and invite you to enjoy the return of these graceful, playful creatures.

Take a look at the progress we've made in reducing our energy consumption:

2006
2007
2008
Total Reduction 2006-2008
Electric (in KWH) 1,443,344 1,458,142 1,378,782 4.47%
Propane (BTU) 2,941,400,000 2,920,867,500 2,486,820,000 15.45%

Water (Gallons) 6,173,000 6,476,000 5,435,000 11.96%

We are proud of the results of our efforts and are thankful for the participation from our guests.
