With the hustle and bustle of the summer season now at a close, and with fall wrapping up, winter will soon open its doors, and that makes for a great vacation to one of the best inns in CT, Saybrook Point Inn, Marina & Spa. Here are our top three favorite winter activities in Old Saybrook.

Winter Stroll

You’ll want to make sure you bundle up but get out and explore the Loop, an easy walking path that will get you up close to the scenic waterfront. You’ll not only see the water but with many historic homes along this route, you’ll get to see all the festive decorations that the holiday season brings. Our front desk has maps for this winter stroll so make sure you stop by before heading out and collect one!

Fire and Ice

Our Fire and Ice Festival is one we look forward to every year! Hosted in January this day is full of excellent wintertime activities and events that you’ll want to be a part of when you stay at one of the best inns in CT! Experience food and beverages as well as stunning ice sculptures, this winter-themed event will host demonstrations and a fantastic culinary menu with Fresh Salt. Don’t forget to stop in at the Marina Bar to warm up from the inside out with a toasty drink!

Quiet Night Inn

Sometimes, in the winter when the summer traffic has died down, you’ll want to embrace a quiet night in at one of our fabulous accommodations. Plus, like any of the inns in CT, Saybrook makes for one of the best locations to curl up with a good book, sit by the fireplace to warm up, or just enjoy the company you’re with. There are plenty of opportunities that await when you step back and find peace and serenity this winter season.

However you choose to embrace winter, whether it’s getting outside for a snowy stroll through our charming town, checking out one of our latest events, or just enjoying time well spent on vacation to our CT inn. Saybrook Point Inn, Marina & Spa has everything you need to satisfy a wonderful winter getaway!
