The Marina I just wanted to share our extremely positive experience, and give some extra kudos where due. Our group consisted of 10 boats from Mount Sinai NY. Many of us were first timers to the marina and to Old Saybrook. We have traveled to many locations and have had some very positive experiences…and some not so great. Most of us checked in at the same time, and the winds were blowing hard. It was an amazing experience to see Dock Master Kate really take control of the situation and how she guided her team. She is very skilled, passionate and she cares!!!! It didn't just stop there. Kate consistently made us feel important and welcomed by making sure our needs and wants are fulfilled during our entire stay. She has also done a great job training, developing and mentoring all the dock hands. First impressions are very powerful, Kate and team nailed it. Your facility and service was also stellar. Great food, service, amenities and a wonderful town. We all agreed that your marina resort will be a regular destination for us going forward.

Luxury with a warm human touch A wonderful place to stay for two restful nights, close to Essex for a Connecticut River cruise, Gillette castle, and John Brown's birthplace. The food at Fresh Salt, a dinner and two breakfasts, was delicious. And the staff without exception were superb. It's the people that make it so special.

Stayed for a wedding In addition to the beautiful views & rooms, great amenities and fun atmosphere, the staff was truly top notch. They were very accommodating and helpful. We used the free bikes to ride along the scenic route and also into town (town was only a mile). Uber doesn't pick up there so the hotel provides a shuttle to wherever you need to go in the area. I have to give a big shout out to Vincent who was the kindest concierge. He helps with everything from bags to bikes to shuttle and is always a friendly face when you walk through the doors - which he opens for you! The front desk staff was amazing as well.

The beds were very comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms were spacious. The rooms and hotel have a lovely ambiance. And every room seemed to have a beautiful view. Ours overlooked the marina and ocean. More

Superb Everyone was so welcoming. Having the ocean, as background, added to the ambience. I loved it. The beds were very comfortable. To me the hotel had a little Southern charm. They have two pools one inside and one outside.

Hard to Believe How Wonderful It Is!! Having not been away on vacation since the pandemic began, can't begin to say how amazing the Saybrook Point Resort & Marina really is! It's in an incredible setting and all the reviews that mention how wonderful the staff members were are actually true!! Just when you think there's no such thing as customer service, the Saybrook Point Resort & Marina crew go above and beyond to ensure your stay is great.

Don't forget to eat outdoors at Fresh Salt if possible.

Getaway to Saybrook Point, CT. This resort is very pleasant and located at a picturesque piet, seawall and marina. The restaurant is quite good and right next door is a lobster shack with excellent Connecticut-style lobster rolls (no mayo, just buttered lobster meat and roll). Our room was spacious and pleasant and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The room, including a pet fee, was less than $1,000 for 2 nights, including Labor day.

Wonderful getaway This hotel reminded me of what non chain hotels should strive for. Top notch service. Thank you for making our family girls weekend so wonderful. Would most certainly return. Impeccable service throughout. The front desk team was stellar, restaurant was great, pool was well maintained and the marina view was beautiful to wake up to each morning. Can’t wait to come back.

Labor Day getaway We made a last minute plan to go away to Saybrook Point. Accommodations were wonderful and the fact that the hotel is dog friendly made our lives easier when planning a last minute trip. Food at Fresh Salt was amazing. Very courteous and accommodating staff. The weather wasn’t perfect for our entire stay but the indoor pool, hot tub and steam room and sauna gave us plenty to do inside. We will definitely be back!!

Mini getaway We had a wonderful time. The resort is well maintained, service was impeccable. Food was very good, grounds well maintained. They had bikes which we took advantage of, indoor and outdoor pool, sauna and hot tub. Pool bar, outdoor seating upper and lower deck levels. Room was beautiful, with plenty of amenities provided.

What a beautiful view! We stayed at the Saybrook Point Resort & Marina and wish we had the time to stay longer. The room had a spectacular view overlooking the marina, the room was extremely clean, and the restaurant was right on the water serving delicious cuisine! More

Charming hotel for families and couples Charming hotel with phenomenal views and a relaxed vibe. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. In particular, Vitaliia in the restaurant and Madeline at the Front Desk made our stay very special. The food in the restaurant was always excellent and you will not want to leave.

We also enjoyed using the bikes to explore the area, swimming and relaxing by the pool, and taking strolls across the causeway. A lovely visit. More

Wonderful experience The resort is quite lovely, featuring great views of both Long Island Sound and the mouth of the Connecticut River. It's located in a relatively quiet area but not terribly far from downtown Old Saybrook. The people were friendly, the food was good, the resort was clean and promoted green/responsible energy conservation measures. We did have a little less water pressure in the shower than expected but the hot tub filled just fine! The saltwater swimming pool was pleasantly warm and the spa was lovely. The food at Fresh Salt (attached restaurant, you don't need to stay here to eat at it) is very good but it is expensive (much of the food in Old Saybrook is too, with some exceptions) so be prepared to drop a good bit if you don't feel like leaving the premises. We somewhat accidentally wound up here instead of elsewhere but I'm glad we did, and we'll make it a point to return again! More

Great resort and marina! I stayed at the Saybrook Point Resort while my family stayed on their boat in the marina. My room was lovely and charming. I appreciated that the room had not been converted to the currently popular contemporary/industrial look. The bar area had a full mirror, which would accommodate more than one person in the room. The bathroom with double sinks had wall to wall mirrors with plenty of light, which is above and beyond most hotels these days, which use 20 watt bulbs in their 2 lamps! I was grateful to have a bathroom and lighted makeup mirror. The appointments were very nice for young girls getting ready together for a wedding, and I am just a single old grandmother that appreciated those things just the same. The manager/staff/restaurants were so friendly and professional. 5Star More

Great place to visit At check-in were were able to upgrade to a water / marina view room. The room was beautiful and extremely clean. Loved the view and resort. We had dinner at the restaurant both nights and we were not disappointed. The pool is awesome and it was real nice during the heat wave.

Husbands birthday getaway We received this recommendation from the chamber of commerce. Kudos to them. We absolutely loved every minute of it. From when we walked into the hotel to the moment we left. Greeters to front desk. We arrived early like 11:09 and our room was ready. We had the King room residence side and the room was huge, immaculate and beautiful. The only drawback was the pool which I have read in the reviews. A little small but we were able to get a spot and it was great. We will be back for sure. Food is excellent at the Fresh Salt restaurant

Wonderful hotel at a wonderful location Great food and charming interior in the Hotel. Room was big and comfortable. The health club members also used the pool area without staying at the hotel, so on Sunday the pool area was really crowded.

A Perfect Weekend Getaway! My wife and I stayed at the Saybrook Point Resort for a weekend Getaway and it was exactly what we needed. The staff was friendly and attentive, the room was clean and had amazing water views and the restaurant was incredible. Our Dinner on Friday night was one of the best meals we've had in quite some time.

We will definitly be back and highly recommend Saybrook Point Resort to anyone.

Luxury on the Connecticut shore We loved our stay! The room was appointed with period lamps and artwork, a vintage writing desk and chair, comfy modern couch and wonderful king bed with luxurious linens. We had a pretty harbor view from the bistro size deck. The staff were all incredibly warm, polite and accommodating. The dining room and bar have wonderful views of the harbor and pretty boats and upscale seating and decor. The Inn is surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds with unique garden sculptures. The SayBrook Point Inn is a timeless classic!
